          I replaced the factor 8" sub from the Mach premium sound system in my Eddie Bauer Expedition with this speaker and I could not have been happier. I wasn't looking for anything to be having an "obnoxious hoopdie," I wanted a better than average system. I did replace my head unit prior to this speaker, but there was nothing else I needed to do. The factory amp in my vehicle pushes this thing to it's true potential. I absolutely love it and would totally recommend others buy it.

These are pretty good bang for the buck. Bought them as cheap replacements for age deteriorated 1974 pioneer subs. Didnt even have to change the female spade connectors to hook them up! (yes they have spade connectors NOT RCA style

Sound great and the same age of amp can handle them very nicely. Not sure how they would do for car audio stuff but for home theater 5 stars all the way.

Pioneer TS-SWX251 10" Flat Subwoofer with Enclosure 800 Watts Review

I have this on the floor behind the passenger seat in a 2011 Toyota Tacoma. With the passenger seat slid back, with only one click until fully locked back, it slides very nicely under the small Access Cab seat!! My 6' friend was super comfortable in the passenger seat. You can put things on top of the box, so it's not a big barrier to carrying cargo. I'm going to move it to my side of the cab, just so 3rd passengers can sit not behind me.

This thing is SUPER loud if you want it to be. It tones down nicely and is a very, very nice sub.I've got it hooked up to a 250 watt amp and I have the gain down to 1/4 of the max power - and it still sounds amazing!

I listen to hard rock, jazz, rap, classic rock, sports radio, seriously just about everything - that's why I went with a sealed enclosure.

I get good deep bass, that's solid and clean. I have it tuned down so I can hear fantastic bass, but it's not loud at all outside my truck, a great feature if you want to stay inconspicuous and still enjoy quality sound.

It's stealth looking too. There is just one side that's branded "Pioneer", but you can't see it in my truck, it looks like a random box. Very nice.

This is a fantastic buy, it can be whatever you want it to be. 100% satisfied with this purchase.

          These work really well. The sound in my truck is really good. I originally was going to go with a product that was a little larger in size. However, the mounting boxes that are made to fit in my truck would not be able to take a larger mounting depth. These produce enough boom for my truck. Im not sure how they would sound coming out of the back of a trunk. But they definitely do what they are supposed to in my truck. They came as described and I had no problem installing them.

          OK, so I'm 24 and I've had subwoofers in my cars ever since my first one. I've had Sony's, Rockfords and Alpine Type R's. Most recently have been my Rockford's. The car they were in, I wrecked. I transfered the subs to my new car, and needless to say they were ruined. So being strapped for cash I began looking at new subs, coming across the Boss Phantoms.
          I have just one 12 right one (to test it out) hooked up to my Rockford p3001 amp, putting out 500 RMS at 2 ohms. WOW. Just this one speaker, hits harder than my Rockfords, and for fifty bucks? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I'm highly impressed with the response, punch and loudness of the speaker. The only thing that I could say is towards probably about 40hz and down, they get unresponsive. They're rated to 25 hz I believe, but this isn't really a big deal to me. Other than that, I can't wait to throw another 12 in my trunk and let these bad boys rip my car apart. It's honestly, disgusting.

          I have this nice sub bridged to a pioneer 760 watt amp at 380 rms in a .75 cubic foot sealed box. this sub is nice sounding and hits the lows very nicely...however u want to rattle your car apart this sub wont do that...but it will rattle it...alot. I really think this sub should be in a ported box about 1.75 cubic feet, im gonna try that next...i have a 2000 honda accord with this sub, 2 pioneer 6x9 speakers, and 2 pioneer 6 1/2 speakers...system sounds very nice, the sub is wonderful and is totally worth buying...it has very good design from the voice coil to the double stacked magnets, very durable and totally worth buying!

          i put this sub in a custom ported box with 1.75cuft and it slaps. with the right amp this sub will out perform a 12 anyday. also the box is key to making a good sub sound great. just because you have a 10 inch sub dosent mean you cant bump hard without a 12. thumbs up amazon! the only thing it did not come with was the diagram that was needed to cut the hole in my box, but with a little measuring, it came out perfect.. just bought another sub from amazon and i intend to keep buying from amazon. just because its cheap on amazon dosent mean your getting crappy items!!

          I blew out my non-internally amplified 6.5inch bazooka tube sub for behind my seat in my pickup by accidently sitting on the volume up button on remote. This was a quick and easy replacement and actually gives more bass than the original. I am amplifying it with an older alpine 60x4 vdrive cd/mp3 deck and a 100rms x 1 output (bridged) definately nothing special by any means but i can tweak it endlessly which i like, and it is plenty sufficient as it was with the bazooka. The bazooka took less power at lower volumes so i had it turned down more, but this can hit harder at higher volumes. The quality of the bass (response) is also different (slightly differnt low response, responds easily to 70-100hz but 65 and below takes a drop off and it is less responsive, hence i had to re-eq my deck and amp but in the end i got nice crisp univerally tight but not boomy bass response from this small speaker.

          I was hesitant about buying this, because I was leaning to the R series. But, the R series that I was looking at was a dvc, and my amp did not have enough power to run it properly. Well, I went the the SWE-1243 12" 250w SUB, and I couldn't be happier. I it only getting about 150 watts, so I imagine it bump a lot harder with a more powerful. Plus, I have it in a premade box in the hatch of a SMALL hatchback.

All in all, couldn't be happier.

          My 16 year old has been itching to get subs in his car and he recently earned some money so we sat down and started planning. With the limited budget we had a hard time trying to find something that would pack a punch. We quickly found that we couldn't afford the hi-end subs and amps and decided to take a chance on these subs and the Pyle 2200 amp. I read all of the reviews, both good and bad, and we ordered. We went down to the local Best Buy and got a deal on a close-out dual 12" box that was ported for $30. Since these subs have dual voice coils I wired them in parallel to get 2 ohm input and hooked them up. I also ordered the Boss install kit and it worked out very well. We turned it on and these things thump! I adjusted the input level to match the head unit and I am very happy with the sound of this system. This system didn't cost a lot of money and it sounds great. As with anything you can spend a fortune but with $180 I spent (speakers, install kit, amp)I am very happy. Plus, I had some great quality time with my son installing it.

          I got this sub for my '94 Toyota truck, it's got that little cab behind the front seats, so I wasn't dealing with a bunch of extra space but I was redoing my stereo system and decided I wanted a sub too. I did my research and chose this one due to its size and other reviews that I had read elsewhere. The price is slightly steep but it eliminates the need to make a box for it so it was worth it for me. I bought it and it arrived promptly and I paired it with an Alpine MRP-M500 amp and this thing pounds! I can't turn my stereo up past 35 because it starts to hurt and that's without any bass boost from the amp!! It's crazy, it does rap bass and band type bass with perfect clarity and no distortion even when I turn the volume up to 50. It shakes all three of my mirrors on the truck. If you want a sub with decent power that hits hard while still sounding nice, this is a very nice option.

          I bought this sub with very high hopes for great bass with the 1400 watt pyle amp that i bought from amazon at the same time and i was not let down! I have it hooked up in my house with a small 640 watt power acoustic amp which aint that great but it dont drag the sub down on quality. What i like most with this sub is that it has deep hard hitting very good sounding bass no matter where i put it, and it can be heard from a distance! Another thing i like about this sub is that it would be hard to damage because of the hard material it is made of. I do not have any downs on this product from Amazon, im proud of my purchase and i DEFINATELY recomend you to buy this sub if you want a lous system, i plan to buy three more myself, one more for my car when i get it from the shop and two to keep hooked up in my house! They are cheap so I bought one. I put it in my truck and I really could not believe that this cheap sub sounded so good. So I bought 3 more of these subs cuz I was putting my truck in sound offs. I came in second in my class out of 36 entries. Ok So i went and bought 2 more, took the kickers out, and wow You literally can not be in my truck with the radio on. It is so loud and hits so hard. About 2 months ago I entered another sound off with the six pyle subs and took first in my class and third over all. There were 94 entries in the total and 22 in my class.

          First of all i would like to say these subs sound absolutley amazing! Even with hurricane Irene coming through our state, theycame in 3 days. Packaging was great and these are very stylish! Alot of people are complaining about the amp overheating and breaking, if you have enough room in your trunk you will not have a problem with that. i put these in my 1999 vw passat V6 without a problem, The wire it comes with isnt that thick so go to your local walmart and pick up a 1200 wat 680 rps (6G wire) and theses subs will sound amazing compared to the stock wire. Also people are saying the subs break or blow, dont listen to them! When you get new subs you should only use them with about half power till they kick in (one or two days) once these have passed you can play around with it however youd like. The subs hit Soooo hard and i couldnt be anymore impreesed with the price and shipping, The only thing that was difficult was the setting up and wiring, but if you know a little about what your doing then you should be fine, setup has taken stars away from peoples reviews but im still giving it 5 stars bc it shouldnt be decided on how they set up.. It sounds superb and i honestly couldnt be happier bc of the price i paid, well worth it bc if you know what your doing, it should take about less then a day to complete like mine, ( and im not good with electricity and wiring) Take this review seriously from a skeptic like me but i definetly can tell you this is amazing and deserves all 5 stars. The subs hit ridicuously hard and you wont regret buying them, they are so amazing that this is my first review written on anything i have ever bought in my life, 5***** for me :)

Customer Review
          I was somewhat skeptical about this brand, but now have no regrets. I have them in a 1997 Camry with a Rockford Fosgate t500, 4 gauge wiring, after market HU, stock door & rear speakers. There is another listing for the MTX subs together with an amp that I almost considered. Glad I listened to other reviewers and just got these subs-the amp in the combo package is nowhere near enough to push these things. Even the pros at the car audio shop I went to said the same thing. To give an example of how great they sound: After the install I went to see my husband at work to let him hear them. His coworker came out of the building and asked "What's with all the noise?". I now need Dynamat, because I don't want to be one of those trunk-rattlers. Plus I can tell that the spoiler will eventually come off if I don't soundproof. Yeah, it's pretty substantial bass! I say get these subs, but don't skimp on the amp.

I grabbed one of these off Amazon with the Alpine MRP-M500 Mono Amp and a ported enclosure. Let me just say... sweet jesus. Where do I start?

The installation was easy for me as I was using this set up to replace some much weaker Pioneer equipment in a sealed enclosure. While I may have doubled the wattage in doing this, it seems like I improved the listening experience by ten-fold. I have the gain below nominal and the bass boost just above zero and it's putting more bass in my car than is probably healthy. I have the bass equalizer on my headunit at -1 and it even gives my sideview mirrors a nice shake.

Why anybody would want two of these is beyond me. I have this on some of its lowest settings because if I put it any higher, I wouldn't be able to tell you what song my speakers were playing. If I mounted this subwoofer face down, I would take even money that my rear wheels would come off the ground when the sub hit. Hits so clean, doesn't distort, and plays an incredible range of low notes on the music I play.

Throw in an amp kit with the three items listed above and you're looking at $350 altogether. That's stealing... how does Alpine/Amazon profit from this?

Do the right thing. Buy it.
